I don’t like to get political on my blog - or ever, really - but sometimes bigger world issues need to be highlighted, even here. I believe it is our duty, not as Americans, but as humans to come to the aid of those in need. Just as I posted a blog after the earthquake in Haiti, I will do so again today.
Obviously it’s not feasible for all of us to fly across the world and lend a helping hand, but we can offer support both in spirit and monetarily. Even small donations help!
I chose to make a small donation though Groupon.com who are matching all donations made to Red Cross Japan through their website.
More information about Groupon’s donation-matching here.
You may also text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 through the American Red Cross.
My heart hurts for the thousands of people who are struggling through this horrible disaster. It really makes you stop and be truly grateful for all you have.
