Vintage Cameras & Other Birthday Goodness…

As many of you know I’ve got 5 vintage cameras. Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and I was absolutely ecstatic when I opened 4 more vintage cameras from my grandmother! These are so special to me because they were purchased by either my grandmother or great grandmother. Check these out:

The first is a 1978 Kodak Ektralite 10. I finished the roll of film in this camera and plan on getting it developed!

My grandma even kept the original packaging and instruction manual!

The next is a 1976 Minolta Autopak 430E. This camera also had film in it which I finished and will get developed. :)

Next is a much smaller camera, but a similar style. It’s a Focal Flip 11. I’m a fan of its model number. :) Sadly I don’t know what year this was made.

You can see the initials “LH” carved into the top. Apparently my great-grandmother, Lavita Howell, was notorious for carving her initials in her possessions.

And here’s its instruction manual.

Here are the 3 of them together…

And lastly, here’s the adorable and compact Ansco Panda! So cute! This was made sometime in the 1950s.

Looking down through the viewfinder…

I am so honored that my grandma passed these little gems onto me! I’m now up to 15 cameras, 9 of which are vintage, and 8 of those 9 are all originally purchased from members of my family!

Obviously, I got spoiled on my birthday. But it doesn’t stop there! My parents got me a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash!

That baby is going to come in real handy! Thanks mom and dad!

And lastly, my wonderful boyfriend bought us a trip to Sunriver - one of our favorite places in Oregon - for a nice relaxing weekend. He bought it half-off from livingsocial. Love that website!

Besides all the amazing gifts I also had an excellent day.

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday a great one!
