Real-Life Fairytales

My best friend is getting married in a month. Just typing that out is surreal! I’ve known Elizabeth for 20 of my 23 years on this planet and we’re like sisters. I can’t tell you how many times over the years we discussed what our weddings would be like and what outlandish fairytale things our future husbands would do for us. Now we’ve graduated from imaginary boyfriends who pour our “wine” (juice squeezes) into fancy glasses in her backyard to being grown women with real relationships, and we’ve made that transformation together.

Liz is now embarking on the next big stage in life and I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s got a man who loves her and treats her amazingly. Oh, and those juice squeezes in the fancy cups? John took it a step further by setting up a tent in their living room, prepared a romantic dinner with flowers and candles, and even had the fixings for s’mores ready at hand! They had a camp-out in their living room. How’s that for fairytale treatment we dreamed of as girls?

I love you Liz! I’m thrilled to be celebrating the fact that you found your “Colby” - I’m also thrilled that he’s made of more then fabric and fleece. ;o)
