Cera approached me over a year ago about taking photos for her wedding reception. Her and her now-husband Jeremy were getting married in Hawaii the week before the reception, but they still wanted to celebrate with their extended family and friends. She even had a date ready for me to request off of work 9 months in advance. Gotta love a bride-to-be who’s on top of things!
The reception was at Mount Pisgah here in Eugene. I’ve lived here for almost 5 years now and had never been there before a few months ago. It’s GORGEOUS! Huge oak trees, open fields with tall grass, and tons of purple flowers. AMAZING.
What was also amazing was how great Jeremy and Cera are together. As is usual with celebrations like this, a few things weren’t going exactly ideally as they were setting up a few hours before the reception was to start. Instead of running around in a frantic, stress-induced haze (as I’ve seen many times before) Cera and Jeremy just let the small stuff slide and commited to just enjoying their day. I admire this.
Cera and Jeremy - you were amazing to work with. Really! You were so relaxed and so fun. I hope you love the photos!
