
I took about a billion photos of the sky last night trying to get a shot of a meteor. You can see one in this photo in the upper right-hand side. There’s also a small line from a satellite in the lower left-hand side right above the tree line. I saw one really big, bright meteor but of course my camera was pointed to a different section of the sky.
I could have gotten a better picture, I’m sure, but I was on the side of a highway at night by myself with a cell phone that was going dead and I just didn’t feel like getting murdered.
What was also cool was that while I scanned through the photos on my computer today trying to spot any meteors, I could actually see the world turn based on the movement of the milky way in the frame. :)
