Lifestyle Session - Autzen!

I’m sure you all remember little Autzen and his amazing blue eyes! I was thrilled when his mama came to be about doing another session, and was even more excited when I found he’d warmed up to me since our last session in June! I didn’t have to use my paparazzi lens at all this time! The little guy just kept shouting that he was, “ready for an adventure!” Too cute.

We had wonderful lighting and beautiful property to work with, not to mention an adorable kid, so it made my job extra easy! Enjoy!

Lifestyle Session - Caballero Family!

Last February I did my first session with the Caballero family to welcome their newest little one to the world. I always hear people say children grow up too fast, but it really put it in perspective for me when I met this guy at a few weeks old…

…and then didn’t seem him again for 10 months. When we met up again a few months ago I was blown away by what an adorable little man he had become! See what I mean?

I love this family and can’t wait until our next session in a few months! ♥ Enjoy!

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Photo Shoot Giveaway - Rejeck Family!

Back in September I donated a photo shoot to Earth Monkey’s silent auction which was set up to raise money for the McPhails - a family from my hometown who were being featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. My entire family and many of my friends were able to sign up to actually work on building their house, but I had a prior engagement that kept me from going. Instead I was able to donate the photo shoot.

A co-worker and friend of my mother’s, Ashley, won the final bid by $1! We had a great time at Lithia Park in Ashland with gorgeous weather and an even more amazing family. Thank you, Ashley, for placing the bid and helping raise money for another great family, and for being so patient waiting for these photos! I had a blast! Enjoy. :)

PS - You can watch the McPhail’s episode here!

PPS - Happy Thanksgiving!

Aubrey & Brayden

Hello internet world! It’s been awhile! June is always a crazy month for my family but this year it’s been extra busy. I apologize for the processing delays. Once this week is over I’ll be able to get fully caught up.

Meet Aubrey and Brayden! I met this adorable little guy and his momma in Lithia Park in Ashland a few weeks ago. We had a good time exploring the park even though Brayden wasn’t too keen on me and my camera. :)

I hope you love your photos Aubrey!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I know everyone always says this about their moms, but I truly have the BEST mama in the world! She’s caring, supportive, hilarious, loud, beautiful, crazy, and fun! There aren’t words to describe how appreciative I am of all you’ve done for me, mom! I love you to pieces and am so lucky to have you as my role model!

I love you even though you’re a shrimp!

And for being my pillow on long car rides…

I love your ridiculous obsession with your little rat dog…

And because you are always willing to explore with me!

You may be loud and boisterous, but you’re just so damn cute! How could we NOT love you?

Mom, you’ve been with me through the best times in my life…

…and the worst times…

Thank you for being there, always. You’ll never know how much it means to me. I love you!

Maternity Session - Sara & Brian

This photo session was so much fun! We shot the photos in Sara and Brian’s home which was nice because they were able to be relaxed and comfortable. What’s great for me is that this photo session was so different from my first maternity photo shoot, so it helped me get experience in a different style and setting.

Besides this being a more intimate, studio-style session, Sara also wanted the focus to be primarily on her belly. She was really open and fun to my ideas (and managed not to laugh too hard at the fact that I’d brought along a written list of pose ideas so I wouldn’t forget them, haha!)

Feel free to check out the full photoset on my facebook page.

Thanks again to Sara and Brian for inviting me to do the photo shoot! I had tons of fun and wish you both the best of luck with your new baby girl!

Photoset: Happy Holidays!

I had fun with Christmas lights tonight. :) The first photo is of my wine glass set that was passed down to me; it has the Mayfield family crest on it, although it’s a little tough to see in this picture. The second photo is just a Christmas ornament.

I hope you all have a fun, relaxing, and safe winter break!

A Belated Thanksgiving Blog

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I am just now jumping on the bandwagon of what-we’re-thankful-for blog posts. I’m going to go ahead and use the excuse that I was so busy being thankful for the people I love on Thanksgiving, that I just didn’t have the time to write a blog entry! ;)

First and foremost, I am thankful for this handsome, cheeky little creature.

Ozzie, I am thankful for your fascination of the bubbles in a bubble bath, even if it means my relaxation is constantly interrupted by sharp claws attacking my feet when they poke out of the water. We both know that when you get too riled up at the sight of the mysterious bubbles, you’ll try to run away, and your wet, furry paws will skid out on the tile floor. You’ll crash into a wall, I’ll laugh, and all will be right again.

I am thankful for you diligence and aptitude, even if it means you effectively killed and/or rid my life of all of my pets who came before you: I hope you’re happy in your new home, Jack and Sally… RIP beta fishies…

I am thankful for your fondness of sleeping on chests, faces, heads, and any other extremity of the human body that is either uncomfortable or potentially life-threatening (like the time I woke up because I was literally suffocating through your furry belly as you sprawled across my face, or the time you split my cheek open when you pushed a stereo off the shelf over my bed onto me while I dreamed).

I am thankful that you think the only appropriate uses of a book are to be slept on top of or to be chewed on. I understand that you feel immense jealousy over books when they are the center of my attention, and I am thankful that you prop your fat little head on top of the book and stare me down for hours on end.

Anyway, I love my cat. Too much. I think that’s apparent.

All jokes aside, I really do have the most amazing family on the planet. I mean, just look at ‘em!

Haha… no, but really - they’re amazing! :)

I am thankful for my daddy who’s sweet, caring, silly, and has oodles of knowledge locked up in his big, fat brain. :P

I am thankful for my mom, who’s truly the best mom on Earth. She puts up with a lot of crap from my sister and myself, and we love her for it! She’s selfless and fiery and I love her. :)

I am thankful for my sister, who is the polar opposite of myself. She’s fun and vivacious and has always been there when I really needed her.

Us then:

Us now-ish:

I’m thankful for my amazing friends as well…

Eder, who has been through a whole heck of a lot with me. Thanks for being my BFF(G) (even though you never had a say in the matter).

Liz, who literally grew up with me through every sad, happy, angry, or embarrassed moment. I love you!

Isaac, who is so very good at dealing with my sister. >:D

And TJ. Our friendship has always been from a distance, but I’m still happy that I can call you my buddy-pal. :D

To those who are listed here, and those who are not: I love you guys, but I hope you don’t need a belated Thanksgiving blog to know that. ;)

Photo Shoot: Lisa, Kelsey, and Kyle

This shoot was done this weekend down in my hometown of Medford, OR. It was a lot of fun! The kids were up for some really fun poses that often including climbing! Kyle is almost 14 and Kelsey is 16; I was so impressed with how much they got into the photo shoot. I was also impressed by how helpful Kyle was, always lending a hand to help his sister or mom out of a tree or over a stream. What a great family to work with. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot, he full session can be seen on my Y11 facebook page.

Adam + Tyler = Noah Adam ♥

Today I did my first pregnancy photo session!

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with, they were so nice and fun, not to mention adorable! :P Tyler had brought some great props to work with which made for some super cute photos. I hope they’re as happy with them as I am!

I wish them the best of luck with their new family! Here are a few of my favorites from today. The full session can be seen on my Y11 facebook page.
